Paul is the Executive Pastor at SouthRidge Fellowship Church in Langley BC where he has served for the past 3.5 years. Paul and his beautiful wife Julie of 28 years have five wonderful children ranging in age from 15 to 25. Two of these children were adopted from Liberia, Africa. Paul’s daughter Alina is in her 3rd year at Trinity Western University and is on scholarship with the track and field team. She was the current student-athlete who gave a testimonial at the Complete Champions Reception in 2021.  Trinity has made a huge impact on Alina and with two younger children coming up in the sporting community, there will be a greater Olson-presence at Trinity for years to come.

Paul sees the importance of creating community and serving community.  Be it small groups or large groups, people need a place to belong and thrive.  Serving the community is a heart for Paul as he has spent time over the years building relationships with those in our greater civic community whether it be with mayors and civic leaders or with business / community leaders.  Leveraging the collective strength of these leaders and faith leaders creates a powerful team that makes significant things happen!

Paul has extensive pastoral ministry over the past 30+ years as well having been on the Northwest Baptist Seminary Board for three years in the past. Paul has a ministry heart that desires to come alongside people who need direction, help and support and provide that through the local church.  Seeing people reach their full potential in Christ brings the greatest sense of fulfilment.  When he is not pastoring, Paul enjoys spending time outdoors hunting and fishing.  He loves hanging out with his wife exploring hiking trails and watching his kids compete in various sports!
